Memories Thursday, December 6, 2007 { LOVE is Xenia could remember the very first thing he said to her. It was strange how things like that stuck in one's head wasn't it? She could remember almost every detail, a great feat for one with so short an attention span, from the atmosphere to the dew set on the grass blades. Xenia even knew what the first thought that occurred to her was when he finally found him. She knew instinctively they were going to be very good friends. She knew it, and believed it, trusted her intuition so much she did, as she repeatedly attempted to crack his armour. And his skull too, Xenia giggled a little at the thought, it had to be an inch thick. Yes, he definitely would become her favourite idiot. Her idiot, her friend, her neighbour, her classmate, her's her's her's. Xenia was not exactly a possessive person, but she liked labeling things like they did belong to her. If it wasn't her's, it was their's. Two separate worlds, two entities. Xenia didn't want to mix or have any hazy boundaries. Neither did they. If this person was part of them, he was their's. If he was part of her friends, he was her's. Not our's, her's. Sometimes, her slightly overbearing personality was intolerably suffocating. But who minded, when she didn't express her possessive side to anyone, apart from the subtle and rather startlingly harsh demands that they leave her friend alone. Apart from the infrequent use of labels that linked her friends to her, she was all right. "You're annoying." It wasn't an exclamation or something said in jest. He had said it with a straight face, a straight and mildly irritated face, but no humour was evident on his face either way. Xenia tilted her head at him, her face impassive (apart from the small smile). She had scratched her head a little, pushing back the silver hair in her face and smiled a little wider, "At least I know how good a judge of character you are. You so obviously suck at it." His eyes widened a little at the insult, as he glared at her still-smiling face. "You don't know anything," he protested lamely, the dark green eyes sulky. Still smiling, Xenia dusted off her white skirt and straightened her shirt, tugging out the creases, "Then tell me, Zeki-kun!" She was bold, to address him so affectionately when have met less than a week ago, when he first moved in. But she didn't seem to have a care in the world as she snatched his wrist up and proceeded to drag him along. Although two years older, he allowed himself to be dragged by the ten-year-old, a small exasperated smile crossing his face. Thus began the ire of Zekitsu Mayura. The greatest distance on earth is not between life and death, It was years since she first met him, five years exactly, she remembered the innocent ten-year-old prancing in the sun with YuRan and grinned. How far she and her friends had come! She grinned as she stared at the starry sky, hearing her friends indoors chattering and celebrating, under the excuse of Xenia's birthday. "Happy sweet fifteen," she muttered, smiling a little as she stretched both arms out before her before bringing one to prop up her chin. but it is when I stand in front of you, Gold eyes wandered, settling on the single lone figure skimming stones in the distance. "Zeki-kun," she mumbled, smiling to herself as she watched him throw stones at the river, watching the little pebbles jumping across the surface before finally sinking below the surface. The water was reflecting stars, and the moon had gone swimming, the reflection rippling with the moving current. and you still don't know that I love you. "If I choose to follow my destiny, will you be there for me?" Labels: drabble About Me about meIt was the username that was adopted either in late August or early September of 2009.
